Project Description

The Ask

Google faced a multi-layered brand identity challenge when they decided to put Google Earth under the Google Maps Platform. Add Gemini’s brand elements to the mix and it gets messy quickly. Brand inconsistencies were colliding and needed to be elegantly and strategically reined in.

The Work

Informed by how we interact with maps daily, we reimagined the Google Maps brand system based on a more human-centric sense of scale and perspective.

 The Difference

Our new brand strategy is authentically Google, while being uniquely Google Maps Platform at the same time. Mission accomplished.
